Hours earlier, Jesher Rivera-Barreto, posted to her 2K social media followers photos of her drinking.
Jesher Rivera-Barreto, 31, is facing drunk driving charges that stem from a reckless crash on Montauk Highway on Saturday night. The crash left her and her children with minor injuries.
Rivera-Barreto isn’t unknown to the court system or driving while drunk—back in 2020 she was convicted of a DWI.
This time, prosecutors alleged Rivera-Barreto endangered not just herself, but her kids.
Suffolk County Assistant District Attorney Katelyn Flynn told Judge John Zollo:
“The three occupants of the vehicle, so the defendant and the two children, had to be removed from the vehicle, so we do ask for that order of protection, please.”
“Also, they are keeping her medicated.”
Rivera-Barreto, got behind the wheel of her vehicle around 11:30 p.m. with her 1-year-old son, who celebrated his birthday last month, and his 4-year-old brother. She was driving when she lost control of the vehicle and smashed into a wooded area in Brookhaven, New York—leaving all three with minor injuries.

Both children were later released from NYU Langone Hospital to their father.
Rivera-Barreto was charged under Leandra’s Law for allegedly driving drunk with children in the car, drunken driving and two counts of child endangerment.
Expectedly, she was cut loose on supervised release after her arraignment Monday. After which, she burst into tears outside the courtroom where her mother came over to embrace her—they always play victim.
Under, while in charge of a child, is a criminal offence under UK Law. Wreckless endangerment of a child in your care, is another offence.
