Mary Phagan Kean, great niece of Mary Phagan, joins us to share the story of her great aunt Mary Phagan. At age 13, Mary Phagan was brutally raped and murdered by jew, Leo Frank, who was sentenced to death by hanging. Unexpectedly, Leo Franks death sentence was commuted to life imprisonment. In response to this injustice, a group of brave men took it upon themselves to ensure that justice, as was ordered by the court, was carried out for little Mary Phagan, and hung the jew, Leo Frank. As a result of this action the ADL, Anti Defamation League, was created to, in their perspective, protect jews from violence while ignoring the true victim, 13 year old Mary Phagan.
