Great article, and a very crucial topic right now!

Was working on something similar actually.

I always go for the metaphysics when debating pagans. The Odin larpers have none. The neopagaans have better metaphysics but they still fail JTB.

Good post. On the part about pagans being more culturally relative, I don’t think they would argue on that. They’d probably embrace it because they’re uber-tribal. I saw this one podcast episode on Odysee by a group of National Socialists called, “Prussian Socialism,” and they admitted that relativism is a “good thing.” I was amazed that they straight up said it. Honestly, the only folk pagan I like is Aodhan.

And they are always the first ones to fake purity spiral and try to ruin organization reputations.

In the end the difficulty right-wing pagans have with Christianity is aesthetic - a matter of "taste". They simply cannot get passed the question "why wouldn't the "god of the universe" have chosen the Greeks as his chosen people and why wouldn't the Messiah have been more like Alcibiades?"

Without understanding that the Israelites are time and time again described as White.

The Mormons are not explicitly white. Comparing a group which has faced no hardship in at least 50 years to a fledgling identitarian group that is less than 50 years old and has had to fight its way uphill against organized groups >100x their size is a terrible comparison.

The fact that they engage in charity *at all* despite the obstacles they've faced speaks volumes.

I'd be open to hearing what serious struggles pagans have had aside from the general political and institutional oppression that pretty much everyone to the right of Obama faces. As of now, I'd be surprised if there were any, but I could also be wrong.

And Mormons...facing _no_ hardship? Their group is notoriously parodied and satirized, to say nothing about whatever internal controversies they may've had over the years.

They've been on the SPLC and ADLs naughty list for years (despite being less hateful than the ADL), and that list is used by the government. A small percentage of them have lost their jobs because of their affiliations. I've heard some left because it caused issues getting a security clearance.

Neopagans in general are subject to political targeting in the west, mostly because of the ADL. Recently they went after a number of other pagan groups even though they weren't explicitly “folkish". The AFA just stands out the most because they are the most organized.
